Our onsite Salon & Spa are ready to reward and pamper our residents. They can enjoy a spa day complete with a signature massage or body treatment. Or a salon trip for a cut, color, and style. Add a manicure and pedicure for the full luxury treatment, and this indulgent experience will leave them looking and feeling rejuvenated.
Sandy Steeves is The Providence’s Director of Memory Care. She leads thoughtful and inspired enrichment programs for residents, often accompanied by her 11-pound Poodle-Bichon rescue dog, Kirby. With her background in education, Sandy implemented a “Mimosas & Memories” support group for families and caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss. Hosting these sessions on a weekend morning with light bites and libations serves as an easy way to welcome people in. Each time, Sandy selects an educational topic to kick off the discussion and she finds that this allows participants to relax, engage and share resources in a productive, positive manner. Sandy’s favorite self-care ritual? Getting outdoors and going for a hike; she recommends the history trails in Winchester, Virginia and the C&O Canal Towpath in Maryland.
It’s easy for members to look and feel their best at The Providence, thanks to our on-site salon and spa. And while just about everyone loves a soothing massage or facial, the benefits go well beyond relaxation and glowing skin…
